Job Description

The Customer Outreach team at Puget Sound Energy is seeking a collaborative and organized Outreach ProjectManager to join its team, which is focused on engaging customers who face higher burdens to participate inproducts and services as part of the clean energy transition.

This role is responsible for managing and executing creative and engaging outreach projects to achieve PSE’sprogram participation goals in highly impacted communities and vulnerable populations. The Outreach ProjectManager works closely with PSE’s internal teams to ensure appropriate planning and execution of engagingoutreach opportunities. This role will also be responsible for the execution of outreach initiatives and projectsthrough local partnership creation and in coordination with other corporate initiatives.

Job Duties 

  • Lead complex, multi-faceted interdisciplinary outreach projects/campaigns that include managing and directing the deliverables of internal stakeholders to achieve program outreach goals.
  • Manage assigned outreach campaigns and projects scope and objectives, schedule logistics, internal and external relationships/communication, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules. Prepares and presents project progress and cost reports as required.
  • Develop necessary outreach strategies required to meet project goals. Makes early identification of potential problem areas. Solves problems to ensure attainment of project goals.
  • Develop and plan local direct-to-customer outreach campaigns/projects for the highly impacted communities and vulnerable populations (low income, tribal, seniors, etc.) per the outreach audience strategy in partnership with marketing/content workstreams for a strategic and holistic approach.
  • Build strategic relationships to establish local support/understanding of company mission and business objectives. Creates opportunities for a two-way dialogue between the community and PSE.
  • Work as an integral member of a cross-departmental team in support of a wide array of public policy and local government affairs programs and initiatives. Ensure assigned outreach campaigns are coordinated with PSE’s community engagement approach across multiple departments.
  • Work collaboratively to develop a cross-department team to provide a consistent set of practices/protocols for communication with customers and communities in support of outreach initiatives.
  • Create, document, and communicate project/campaign lessons learned and community engagement best practices. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as the Project Management Institute (PMI), highly desirable.
  • Previous interactive community events or projects experience.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy, corporate responsibility and sustainability.
  • Strong ability to work independently, but also contribute to the overall team goals, while embracing a shared vision.
  • Ability to work successfully in networking with external stakeholders and communities representing diverse interests in the formulation of collaborative and viable partnerships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents, utilize creative thinking and problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive issues while using tact, courtesy, and discretion.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sustainable business, public relations, or commensurate experience or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 7 years’ experience in external relationship marketing and business development.
  • Experienced in representing various sensitive corporate positions.
  • Strong project manager who engages ā€œhands-onā€ activities
  • Skilled in uncovering hidden ā€œstoryā€ potential for working through corporate communications group to launch earned media effort.
  • Ability to work successfully with external interested parties and communities representing diverse interests.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Job Duties

  • Leads the process to update the monthly outlook and/or budget forecasts, and provides variance analyses. Presents the results to PSE directors and officers.
  • Participates in the annual creation of the corporate mid and long-term financial plan. Facilitates and may lead the ongoing evaluation of the corporate mid and long-term financial plan.
  • Helps develop corporate financial strategy by interfacing with PSE management and building interdepartmental consensus on modeling assumptions, such as rate case strategies, O&M and Capital targets and financing strategies to optimize corporate financial performance.
  • Develops comprehensive financial models and various ad-hoc strategic analyses throughout the planning cycle.
  • Contributes to or may lead the delivery of recommendations resulting from quantitative and qualitative analyses. Anticipates and identifies areas of opportunity or inherent business risks evident in the data and communicates action plans to stakeholders.
  • Develops consensus around analytical approaches and cultivates ties across business groups.

  • Continually improves forecast integrity by utilizing internal and external information resources, researching new financial metrics and modeling techniques, benchmarking, and data analytics.
  • Promotes best practices of modeling techniques, methodologies, controls and documentation.

  • Leads, trains, and mentors staff in the development, administration, and analysis of the short-, mid-, and long-term corporate financial plans.
  • Supports various rate proceedings by answering data requests.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience with progressively increasing level of responsibility
  • 5+ years in finance roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels ofmanagement
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision in a fast paced, stressful, and multitasking environment

Our sweet mother with Alzheimers recently lost her husband and needs a little extra love. We'd love to have someone consistently come take her for a walk a couple times a week, double check that she's taken her meds, and maybe walk her to a meal or one of the activities at the senior home. It would be a couple times a week for maybe an hour on the days we aren't able to visit her due to work and timing is very flexible. No nursing necessary, she is in very good physical shape.

Job Description

The Oak Harbor Library provides service to the diverse population of Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, which includes a large military population. The Public Service Assistant I position will work with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team that will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with account information, registering customers for new accounts, processing materials, answering phones, checking materials in and out and performing other circulation tasks according to the library needs.

 

The Public Services Assistant I performs basic public service and library support tasks at one or more community libraries or Library on Wheels to contribute to their effective operation, providing library services, spaces, and resources that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone.

 

This position may include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours including Sundays and may be required to adapt to future schedule and location changes depending on library needs.

 

This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by AFSCME Council 2.

 

Job Duties 

Essential Functions

Provide assistance at the library circulation desk, answers phones, checks library materials in and out, registers customers for library cards, and orders various library materials. 
Assist customers with self-checkout machines and answers questions in the hold areas. 
Return library materials to proper locations and supports circulation duties. 
Provide assistance to library customers with basic reference questions. 
Respond to technical services calls and assists with problems with the fax machines, public copiers, pay-for-print stations, vending machines, and printers. 
Submit and monitor technical reports for library technology service issues. 
Perform other public service and general clerical support tasks as assigned.
 

Minimum Qualifications 

High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
These skills and abilities typically are acquired through completion of secondary school or equivalent together with several months in a customer service environment.
